Getting there...

By Car and Ferry

Still the favourite travel method for summer holiday trips of 2 weeks or more. Portsmouth to St Malo is brilliant with Brittany Ferries and slashes drive times to Dordogne. Calais is 850km away. Autoroutes go to Angouleme and Periguex, with good roads on to Riberac and nearby Lusignac. See useful links page to access Ferries and Eurotunnel.

By Air

UK flights from various airports via economy carriers now go to Bergerac, Limoges, Poitiers or Bordeaux. We happen to prefer Ryanair to Bergerac. This is a good option for those with more limited holiday time. Hire a car at the airport. There are various car hire offices right outside Arrivals at Bergerac so it is easy to pick up your hire car. See links page to access airlines.

By Train

Travel in comfort on France's famed TGV from London St Pancras via Paris or Lille to Angouleme which is north of Lusignac. The car hire offices are right outside Angouleme station so transfer to your hire car is as easy as an airpot. See links below to access train times.
